TRAVEL INFORMATION
From Frankfurt International Airport
By train: Frankfurt Airport is connected to Mainz Central Station ("Mainz Hbf") via regular direct regional trains from its regional train station (not long-distance train station!). No prebooking is required. Tickets can be bought from ticket machines in the train station (cash, credit card, EC card).
Take either an R or an S8 train (not S9!), leaving from platform 3.
Costs: about 6 € one-way. Travel duration: 26 min. Timetables: here.
By cab: take 25-35 min. Costs: 70-80 € one-way.
From Mainz Central Station (Mainz Hbf)
On foot: Take back exit (“Ausgang West“). Walking distance 10 min.
By bus: On station square, platform F, take buses 54, 56 or 75. From platform O, take bus 630. Travel duration approx. 10 min. Then approx. 5 minutes on foot.
By tram: On station square, platform A, take tram 51 or from platform L take tram 53. Travel duration approx. 5 min. Then approx. 10 minutes on foot.
Trams leave every few minutes.
Tickets (rd. 3,70 €) can be bought from ticket machines at the bus stop (cash, EC card).
By cab: station square. Travel duration 10 min. Costs: ~ 15 Euro.
